The Kaye

The Kaye is a first floor semi-detached maisonette house located in the heart of Syston. The Kaye is walking distance from Syston town centre with local amenities on your doorstep such as supermarkets, health agencies, leisure centres and other recreational and cultural facilities. Leicester city centre is only a short bus route from Syston which run locally throughout the day.

The home presents a warm family environment which reflects comfort and care. No expense has been spared within the home as we believe all our young people deserve the best. Within the Kaye, two young people can reside within the property at one time, we always aim to ensure that all our young people match with one another and needs are met. We create a living environment to help support and build young people’s independence but also a space to learn life skills and prepare for adulthood.

The 16+ team at Happy Group are hardworking, dedicated and well-trained. Staff will work closely with each young person within the home on a 24-hour period. We aim to ensure that all young people’s interests are a priority which is why they play a huge role in ensuring their bedroom is decorated with their own individual likes. This is to ensure we provide a sense of security and comfort for all our young people.

At the Kaye, we ensure to offer a wide range of activities both indoors and out which all our young people are encouraged to participate in. We always have opportunities for young people to develop their life skills and independence through a range of activities such as travel training on public transport, budgeting at supermarkets, leisure centres promoting a healthy lifestyle, internet access in the home looking at jobs/bidding on properties. We also celebrate all festivities in the home and promote cultural needs through activities.
